Getting Started

Each section covers one area of the AgencyView sidebar. It explains what the area is for, how the pages fit together, and what each button and field does.

AgencyView has five user roles, and some features only appear for certain roles. Where that matters, a section says so.

RoleAccount typeIn short
Agency AdminAgencyFull access to the agency: all agents, contracts, hierarchy, commissions and payroll
ManagerAgencyTheir own book of business plus their team's
Sub AgentAgencyTheir own book of business inside the agency
Customer ServiceAgencySupports the agency: sees all of the agency's clients and their policies, can edit them, and can add clients and policies on behalf of an agent
Independent AgentStandaloneA solo account with no team; manages their own contracts, policies and commissions

Button and field names in bold match what you see on screen.

Getting Started

If you're new to AgencyView, set things up in this order. Each step points to the section that explains it.

  1. Set up your account. Sign up, turn on two-factor sign-in, and fill in your profile and licenses. See Your Account & Profile.
  2. Add your contracts. Add your carrier contracts, or build custom contracts if your upline pays you. Agencies also set up their hierarchy. See Contracts & Hierarchy.
  3. Set up your agency (Agency Admins). Add your agents, assign their contracts, and place them in the hierarchy. See Agency.
  4. Connect your tools. Add your HealthSherpa keys, custom fields and webhooks under Settings, and your calendar under Calendar.
  5. Bring in your book. Add leads and clients, or book the onboarding call to have your book imported. See Leads and Clients.
  6. Write business. Quote plans, send intake forms, and add policies. See Quotes, Intake and Policies.
  7. Track the money. Reconcile commissions against carrier statements, then pay your Sub Agents and Managers through Payroll. See Commissions, Debit Tracking and Payroll. Track agents and agencies outside AgencyView under Downline Entities.
